Programming is everywhere.
Our minds are like a sponge, highly absorbent and easily shaped.
Your subconscious is shaped by anything you give attention to:
- Netflix
- Instagram
- News
- Billboards
- Ad infinitum
Everyone is trying to influence us. And we are shaped by what we let in.
The battle for attention is everywhere: views, clicks, impressions.
Some things grab our attention better than others.
The most effective ones influence our decisions, and replay in our mind involuntarily.
Billions are spent every year figuring out what works best.
Influence is unavoidable.
If we accept this as fact, why not counter it and be more proactive about our subconscious?
We can't fully detach. Not if we want to live and participate in a functioning society, somewhat in sync with modern culture.
But there is something we can do.
The Remedy
Daily positive affirmations.
Affirmations can have a powerful impact on how we think, feel and act.
They're things we believe, or want to believe, about the world, ourselves, or anything else that helps us in our mission.
The beauty of affirmations: they let us become the architects of our own subconscious. Rather than letting someone else steer our ship, we set the course.
Some examples:
- I am a hard worker.
- I read daily and always have something interesting to say.
- I believe good things await me.
- I am becoming more healthy.
- I handle stress with calm and clarity.
