Shiny Object Syndrome

If you jumped on the NFT craze and minted some digital art...
If you launched your own on-chain token...
If you're making TikTok dance videos and have five followers...

Then I might have some bad news. 

Jumping from one niche to another without developing real expertise will leave you exhausted, disappointed, and confused. 

It takes a considerable amount of effort to become an expert in a niche. It also requires staying current and continuously re-educating yourself. 

Do you think a dentist, surgeon, or software engineer can rely solely on what they learned in college and just coast? Of course not. 

Sure, you can make quick money by getting in early on a trend. But that doesn’t mean it was the right decision.

A lottery winner got lucky, yes, but that doesn’t mean buying the ticket was a wise decision. Most people lose money on the lottery over their lifetime.

As Naval Ravikant says, we should aim to succeed consistently, not just once by luck, but across many lifetimes. 

Don’t chase shiny objects.
Focus on mastering a high-leverage field.
The world will reward you.
