The Property We Ignore

Have you ever had something of yours destroyed, whether by accident or on purpose? The intent matters, but in both cases, you're left with a mess. Destroyed property must be repaired or replaced. It usually costs time, money, and effort.

It's frustrating. But have you ever considered that you might be damaging your own property?

Not physical property, that’s obvious. I mean your time.

We'd quickly reprimand someone for scratching our car, smudging a clean screen, or feeding our child a sugary treat.

But what about those who steal our time? Isn’t time the most precious thing we have?

How does our time get stolen?
By endless scrolling.
By compulsively replying to group chats.
By binge-watching TV.
By getting sucked into the latest crisis.
By reacting to negativity.
By obsessing over distractions.
And by being indecisive.

You can always buy another car. But you'll never get more time.

Protect your time like it's your most valuable property, because it is.
