Value and Difficulty Correlation

A study presented two wines to a group of wine connoisseurs. The "experts" sampled each bottle. One bottle was labeled as cheap and the other as expensive. After a long deliberation, all tasters agreed that the expensive bottle was far superior. The catch? Both bottles contained the same wine.

Thus, perception and presentation affect value.

The more expensive a thing is, the more exclusive and difficult it is to obtain for the average person.

Similarly, why is a fit body and a successful business so highly coveted?

It’s because these things are hard to obtain, and therefore are valuable.

If you are struggling in your current pursuit, it’s actually a good indicator that you are heading in the right direction. If it were easy, everyone would have it, and it wouldn't be valuable.

It's valuable because it's hard.
